T. Cook. Rev. C. T. Cook and Claude at tended the livestock exposition in Portland Friday. Mrs. Elizabeth Waldburg and two children o f Seattle are guests o f Mrs Elizabeth Allen. Estacada high football team were defeated at Canby Friday by the Canby school, the score being 12-0. Mrs. W. R. Woodworth returned last week from an extended visit with relatives in North Dakota. George Kitching underwent an op eration Tuesday in a Portland hospi tal fo r a growth on his nose. He is getting along very satisfactorily. Mrs. C. L. Allen is reported to be ill. Jack Norton has been in Estacada this week working on his new build ing on Broadway, which is nearing completion. It will be occupied by the Gem Cafe, Mrs. Jacob Moss, own er, and the Sanek Barber shop, Jack Stultz, proprietor. Clarence Phillips, an attorney of Portland, and Alvin, Bond, who is on the advertising s taff o f the Morning Oregonian, were recent visitors u‘ the Methodist parsonage. A delightful luncheon was enjoyed by about a dozen lady friends of Mrs. Russell Reed, Faraday, Friday afternoon. John Revenue and his sister, Alice Webster, were luncheon guests of County Recorder E. C. Hackett and w ife o f Oregon City, Wednesday. Mrs. E. J. Mitchell has been spend ing several weeks as the guest o f her daughter, Mrs. Ralph Ganger and family. Hans Nelson, Orient, is ill and has been in the hospital at Gresham with an attack o f heart trouble. Nelson has been unable to work since May.
