V CLACKAMAS COUNTY NEWS, FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 2, 1928 PAGE EIGHT ESTACADA ELWOOD Paul and Frityoff Munson came home Friday from the apple orchards near Underwood, Wash., where they had been working for some time. Henry Canonau o f Portland was a guest at the home o f his sister, Mrs. M. Park, over the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Vallen, Oral Yallen and his friend, Bob of Port land were out at the home ranch Sunday. O. U. Bogden has installed a splendid new radio. Mr. and Mrs. R. Stahlnecker and daughter Irene o f Wilsonville were Sunday guests at the Dan Stahl- neceker home. Miss Lillian Shumacher gave a Halloween party at the school house Saturday night. Appropriate decor ations, music, games, stunts, and de licious refreshments made the eve ning an enjoyable one for the thirty guests present. A stray heifer has been a menace to property in our neighborhood for some time and now has started on the inhabitants, having hooked Gene Stahlnecker into a hay loft a few days ago. LOCALS The Estacada high school football eleven played the alumni Friday a f ternoon and lost the game by the score o f 31 to 0. The boys o f the old time team still retain their foot ball experience. Douglass Johnson and family moved to Estacada from Hillockburi the latter part o f last week. They have leased apartments over the bank and Mr. Johnson is keeping books for two or three business firms o f the town. The name o f S. E. Wooster will appear on the ballot as a republican candidate for justice of the peace of Estacada precinct. The nomination was made by the county central com mittee. M e re ly C H AIN Ruth Glover is visiting with friends in Postland. Miss Lucille Ganahl, who has been in Los Angeles fos some time, ne- turned home Friday evening to spend a long vacation with her mother, Mrs. Lyle Connor. Sam Felker and Shirley Burnett, students at O. A. C., drove home from Corvallis for the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Still and daugh ter Audry, with Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Judd and family o f Gresham visited at the A. D. Burnett home Sunday evening. The young people met on Tuesday evening with Miss Fern Clute to con aider re-organizing the Christian En deavor societl. Rev. T. I. Kirkwood came from Springwater to assist. Millard Trullinger with his Ford- son tractor plowed all Grant Test’s land for him last week. Grant says he will always have a tarctor after this.
