not be allowed to vote, as a late law
prohibits the swearing in o f votes.

tion seems to be responsible fo r the
rush to register during the last few
days.
Workers for both
political
parties are in evidence in the com
munity, although republicans work
ing fo r Mr. Hoover seem to be in
the majority. Mrs. H. C. Stephens,
who is chairman fo r this district of
the Hoover membership club, has se
cured more than one hundred mem
bers during the last few days.
Listed in the Hoover ranks are
many democrats, and at the same
time some republicans are lining up
with the Smith faction.
