LATEST 1RISH-JEWISH
FILM IS COMEDY RIOT
Admirers of George Sidney, the fa
mous character comedian, will be
shown in his latest Jcwish-Irish role
as Hayman Cohen in Clancy’s Koser
Wedding” the FBO production, at the
Liberty Theatre in Estacada Friday
and Saturday.
In this stirring picture of life on
New York’s Eastside is said to have
reached the climax of a distinguished
career on the stage and screen.
“Clancy’s Koser Wedding” is a
heart touching comedy, based on the
trials and tribulations of a Jew and
an Irishman, but conducting clothing
stores side by side.. The race pride
of both these volatile characters ir
badly strained by the fact that young
Tom Clancy, son of the Irishman as
his name implies, and beautiful Leah
Cohen, fall in love.
Prize fights, picnics, politics and
poverty combine to make this one
of the most hilarious laugh provokers
ever released and yet have room fot
many sober thoughts brought on by
the piercing insight into human na
ture which the picture divulges.
