CHERRYVILLE ITEMS
Pete Stone, Walter Alt, Emil Bitt
ner went deer hunting Monduy, stop
ping to see Mr. Beaver on their way
to Three Links. They plan to return
Saturday, loaded with deer.
As Bill Alt and wife went home
from the grange dance Saturday
night they almost ran into a wrecked
car on the bend near Cherryville,
which was a new Ford, turned over.
The woman riding in the wrecked
car had a bad cut on her hand. Mr.
and Mrs. Alt helped push the car
back on its wheels, but it was badly
damaged.
Among recent Cherryville folks
visiting Sandy were Mr. and Mrs. J.
W. Dixon and Dorothy, Mrs. Minnie
Douglass, Mr. and Mrs. A. Beden-
stein, and Mr. Williams, the packes
for the Dahl camp, and Mrs. Eva
McDougall, Cherryville teacher.
SANDY N IG H T T R A F F IC GROW S
Sandy night traffic is growing
rapidly, according to George Maro-
nay, who keeps his confectionery and'
lunch counter open late. Maronay
says Eastern Oregon shipments are
coming through Sandy by night and
the drivers stop to eat here when he
is open. Night traffic has never been
so heavy here as this season, accord
ing to Maronay.
