days at the beaches and will make
their home at Yakima.
Oh yes, Estaeada celebrated Mon
day. The people were there and ex.
pected a big parade, but most of the
citizens stood and looked on and
made remarks. The band and a few
of the Odd Fellows and those little
children o f the Christian
Sunday-
school, all led by the American Le
gion colors, did their part. Good for
them!
Mr. Powers, who went to Portland
a week ago to be under a doctor’s
care, isn’t any better. He is staying
at the home of his daughter, Mrs.
Chapman.
Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Owen and fam
ily were calling on the Currinsville

his regular trip to Portland first of
the week.
The store truck hauled in a nice
load o f Y’ akima peaches Tuesday.
They were all gone Wednesday fore
noon and sold for 75 cents a box,
which is considered a low price for
the grade o f peaches.
Henry Heiple had the misfortune
to break four ribs while hauling wood
for threshing.
The Wilbur Wade and J. H. Hay-
man families spent Labor Day pick
ing huckleberries and picnicking on

T N every barber shop in the world, since shav-
*• ing first began, every barber has stropped his
blades before each shave he gave. That is be
cause after the first shave no blade that has not
been properly stropped is in fit condition to
touch your face. It is absolutely essential that
the rough, jagged needle points o f the cutting
edge be smoothed out and re-aligned.
