A S K COURT TO PUT IN
C R IBBIN G ON S A N D Y RIVER
ELECTRIC LINE BE IN G BU ILT
A L O N C LOOP H IG H W A Y
At Brightwood the swift current
on the Sandy river is cutting its way
through the hank from three to four
feet per month, and is endangering
homes. When the winter freshets
were on it was like a raging torrent
and the bridge was in daltger. About
all the cribbing put in by J. T. Mc
Intyre was washed out. It seems the
river is gradually changing its course
and when the snow melts more diffi
culty is expected. A petition was
circulated some time ago, and a plea
is being made to the county court to
furnish funds for cribbing.
Residents along the highway are
much interested ip the new line un
der construction by the Mt. Hood
Loop Electric company. Many sum
mer home folks are not only eager
for the lights, but also want to in
stall electric stoves as fuel is a prob
lem, and juice is also needed for ra
dios and washers. The line will be
completed within a few weeks as far
as Alder creek.

What Comes..
There are more worthwhile things than
the accumulation of money. But it is
a necessity when opportunity or adver

unexpectedly.
A growing bank account here at the
Clackamas County Bank will prepare
you for whatever might come. Don’t
you think it the wisest thing to be
