Rube Shaw’s Valjean Girls’ band
and entertainers will appear at the
Liberty Theatre in a musical and
vaudeville
presentation, Saturday
night, June 30. The Valjeans are a
unit o f the Normandy Girls organ­
ization which played Manager Bill
Perry’s theatre a short time ago, and
proved so popular that another en­
gagement has been arranged, with a
change in the personnel o f the or­
chestra, and an entirely new program
o f musical selections and vaudeville
acts.
The show will start early, as the
Carl Douglass Post of the American
Legion has secured this unit o f the
Normandy Girls orchestra to play its
regular dance at Eagle Creek on the
same night, following their perform­
ance at the Liberty Theatre.
Frank Confer, rube character com­
edian, is a feature o f this show which
also includes lively dancing acts,
singing and novelty offerings, in ad­
dition to the special musical numbers
o f the Valjean Girls’ Band.
