CHEVROLET REDUCES PRICE
A Detroit dispatch dated August
13 states:
Announcement of a price reduc
tion effective August 1 on Chevrolet
closed models was made today by R.
H. Grant, general sales manager of
the Chevrolet Motor company.
The revised price list is as follows:
Coupe reduced $40 to a new price of
$076; coach reduced $40 to a new
price of $696; sedan reduced $50 to
a new price o f $775.
‘‘The record production and phe
nomenal sale o f Chevrolets during
recent months enables the company
to reduce prices at an earlier date
than at first had been contemplat
ed,” said Mr. Grant. “ It is the result
o f quantity production, permitting a
quality manufacture at lower cost.’'
Mr. Grant pointed to the fact that
the Chevrolet Motor company will
] have exceeded by August 20 its total
production for the year o f 1924, af
ter having established production
records for tnreo successive months.
The company will n'.flake its two mil
lionth car early this fall, and will be
the first manufacturer o f three-speed
gear-shift cars to roach that produc
tion mark.

Very little pruning is ordinarily
necessary in the case o f the logan
berry. If the canes are healthy and
I vigorous they may be trained at full
length. Occasionally, when the rope
system is used, the canes are so long
they interfere with the next plant.
In which case the ends should be
shortened somewhat.
Frequently
canes are produced which are not
long enough to be attached to the
trellih. These bear but little fruit
and may interfere with the new
•hoots. Old canes should be taken
away as soon as the crop has been
harvested. This practice gives the
new shoots more air and sunlight.
It also aids materially in keeping
down .nsect pests and diseases.
