Mr. and Mrs. Joseph E. Gates
spent Monday evening at the home
o f Mr. and Mrs. Cahill. The even
ing was spent playing “ 500” .

with Mr. and Mrs. Joe Richie, Sun
day afternoon.
Mrs. Claude Sersanous motored
out to Earl Crest Farm, Sunday,
spending the day with Mrs. Hursh.
Eagle Creek grange held its reg
ular session at the grange hall last
Saturday. There was quite a large
crowd present— several visitors from
Garfield, Harding, George and Fair-
view Granges being present. There
were two candidates, Mrs. Leila Hoff-
meisterand Mrs. Ella Kitching in
itiated in the first and second de
grees. Mr. and Mrs. T. Miller of
Fairview, installed the officers, with
the assistance o f Mrs. Abbie Arm
strong and Mrs. Ed. Steinman. They
did the work in a very efficient and
impressive manner.
An excellent
dinner was served.
Among the grange
visitors at
Eagle Creek, Saturday, were Mrs.
Will Bell and baby son o f Sandy
Ridge, and Joe Brackett o f Eastern
Oregon was also a grange visitor.
Mr. Brackett is a charter member of
Eagle Creek grange and it has been
sometime since he visited the grange.
Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Eddy and chil
dren were the dinner guests of Mr.
and Mrs. R. B. Gibson on Sunday.
