But perhaps the country was aroused by this criticism to such an extent that it will respect the privileges and rights its people now possess. His proposal for the govern ment to buy or condemn the rail roads and operate them, and to do away with the power of the United States Supreme Court to declare an act o f congress un constitutional have really brought the issues before the people as nothing else could. We Americans too often fail to value our rights as possessions until some movement is started to deprive us o f them. When the people are informed upon the basic principles o f business and government, they will apply the rule to local questions as well as state and national issues when they present themselves. CURRINSVILLE ITEMS Henry Heiple visited Robert Fields last Sunday and found him still confined to his room. Jake Looney is still laid up with rheumatism. Saturday evening some o f the younger generation imbibed too much moonshine and undertook to take in the dance given by the Eagle Creek Grange. This was resented by th e‘peace loving part o f the lodge members. If th.*se young people could see just a little in front o f them they would no doubt let moonshine alone anc try and build for the future Doris Looney is reported on the sick list this week. School is progressing nicely and our teachers are to be con gratulated for their efforts. We predict a big success for their Christmas entertainment. The Currinsville Dairy under the management o f Victor Loon is meeting with wonderful suc cess his truck makes seven trips a week to Portland. The International Harvester representative was calling on the Currinsville store lining up busi ness for 1925, they ex p e.t to do some demonstrating in the near future.
