Children’s Home
A D D IT IO N A L L O C A L S
Much interest is being shown
throughout the state, in the chil
dren’ s farm home, to be estab
lished near Corvallis by the
Woman’s Christian Temperance
Union, to care for orphaned and
dependent boys and «iris from
all parts of the state.
Mrs. Amy Upton is the chair
man for Estacada in the cam
paign to raise sufficient funds to
make this home possible. An
nouncement has just been made
from headquarters that the
maintenance for the first year is
assured, but funds are now need
e d 't o r payments on the farm
and for the construction of build
ings. It is hoped that children
may be placed on the farm by
summer.

W. C. Thompson Tree Powder
Mr. Thompson tells me he has
frequent inquiries for his tree
powder in this district. 1 there
fore take the occasion to inform
the farming public that I am the
agent for it in Clackamas county.
fids is a remarkable product,
guaranteed not only to give a
superior fruit but a stronger and
healthier tree. It is applied to the
tree by boring a hole and insert
ing in the sap and is consequently
more of a preventative than a
cure as it gets at the root of the
evil.
Mr. Thompson and daughter
are both kept very busy in Port
land doing up orders and hand
ling the business eTid of it as
they have several agents through
out the state who are quite suc
cessful.
For further particulars see me
at my place, one-half mile up the
