Patee Two Peck-Cahill Mr. and Mrs. Charles C. Peck announce the marriage of their daughter, Doris Jane, to Joseph M. Cahill, Wednesday May 4th. The wedding was quietly solem- ized in the study of the First Presbyterian church, Rev. Clar­ ence Weyer, officiating. Mrs. Cahill has spent all her girlhood in Tacoma, and is an at­ tractive and charming girl. She is a graduate of Lincoln high school, where she took a promi­ nent part in all school activities. Mr. Cahill is an ex-service man, being of the first young men to answer his country’s call. He saw active service on the Mexican border, and later was stationed at Camp Lewis, and was in the officers’ training school at Camp Grant. 111., when the armistice was signed. Loth young people have a host of friends who will be interested in their marriage, which is the outcome of a romance begun du­ ring Cahill’s service at Camp Lewis. After a short motor trip, Mr. and Mrs. Cahill will be at home at 11(1 FastiWright|arenue, the residence of the bride’s pa­ rents, until the first of June, when they will take a cottage at American lake for the summer. — Tacoma News- Tribune. The groom has many friends in this vicinity who will offer him the heartiest congratulations, and wish him and his bride, a prosperous voyage o’er the sea of matrimony. Annual School Picnic The annual school picnic for the Fstacada high and grade schools will be held in the park on Thursday, May 20. School patrons and all others interested are requested to attend this pic­ nic and bring baskets with lunch for picnic dinner at noon. Cof­ fee and ice cream will be served free with lunch. Cups and also *I>oons should be brought with lunch. A program of sports for the day will be provided and a number of songs will be furnisl - ed by the boys and girls glee clubs of the high school. Ai- rangements are being made to secure a suitable speaker to de­ liver the address of the day. It is hoped that all school patrons will turn out and help give the boys and girls a splendid time. Grange will Picnic The fourteenth annual May picnic given by the Fagle Creek Grange, will be held in the grove by its hall Saturday, May 21. After dinner a program will be rendered, and Mrs. McMath, a member of the Board of Higher Vocational Education, will deliv­ er the address of the day. Free coffee will be served by the Grange to those who bring cups. At night a big dance will be given in Cogswell’s hall, at which supper*will be served. Dunlop delivered a very impressive sermon and the choir rendered music appro­ priate for the occasion, one se­ lection being a solo by Miss Ruth Dillon, “Tell Mother I’ll be There,” in which the choir join­ ed in the chorus. Rev. Dunlop also sang a sob. Mrs. K. C. Deming wì ;S the organist. The pulpit presented a pretty appear­ ance with its decorations of white and red blossoms, and narcissus blossoms were gener­ ously distributed to the congre­ gation.
