The Genuine Sound Board
The Stradivara is the only instrument
of its kind that has the genuine
spruce Sound Board extending the
full width and depth of < he cabinet.
This feature largely accounts for the
wonderful tonè of this Master Musical
Instrument.
A Chi i. tmas Greeting
The N e w s wishes all its read
ers and people of this vicinity
generally a most joyful Christ
mas. May it be one full of ha] -
pi ness nnd freedom from care
and anxiety. On this day all
that troubles, all that irritates,
all that embitters should he cast
aside. And as Tiny Tim, Dick
ens’ most pathetic character,
would say, "God bless us every
one."
I Tie Hycada
We have been favored with
another copy of the Hycada t! o
school paper. This time it \w •
gotten out under the direction
the Adelphic society, th e former
one being by the Websterian.
There seems to be a rivalry b< -
tween the two societies, as to
which shall get out the better
paper. We would not dare to
express an opinion, as compari
sons are odious, but this copy
before us. edited by Miss Mil
dred Douglass contains an extra
leaf. The editorial "Your Rep
utation" should be read and
taken to heart bv all the stu
dents as it contains some much
needed advice. The copy we re
ceived was print *d on vellow
paper, which while suitable to
Mr. ne irst’s journals, is hardly
a; propriate for scholarly pro
duct ons. How would these two
societies like to get out jointly
pr* issue of the N ews after the
holidays?
