Holder was among the Estacada visitors in Portland Saturday. H. B. Snyder and wife went to Portland last Thursday, return­ ing the same day. For some weeks we shall run a supplement, increase of adver­ tising compels us so to do. Mrs. D. B. Bass and children went to Portland Sunday evening to visit relatives, returning Mon­ day., Mr. and Mrs. Andy Richmond were here from Portland to spend the week-end with his daughter, Mrs. Burt Moore. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Douglass were among the Estacada visitors at the stock show in Portland the latter part of last week. C. A. Kitchof Woodburn, Ore., has bought the stock of the Krig- baum confectionery and will re­ open it for business very shortly. Mrs. E. D. Allen of Marmot, was here last week to attend the O. E.S. meeting and could not get home until Saturday on account of the extreme bad condition of the roads between Bull Run and Marmot. EASTERN CLACKAMAS NEWS Miss Helen Wooster was a week-end visitor with Portland relatives. 'Mrs. F. G. Robley was a Port­ land visitor last Thursday on Library business. The roof is on the annex to the Cascade Garage, so work will not be delayed by the rain. Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Eschelman and son Davie, were week-end visitors with relatives in Port­ land. Mr. and Mrs. Mac Miller have rented the house belonging to Mrs. M. H. Evan$. Mr. Miller is running a truck hauling lum­ ber. E. L. Ward has moved into the Riesland residence. He has re­ cently arrived here from Ray­ mond, Wash., and has taken a homestead in the Dodge vicinity. The Apron sale and cafeteria lunch given by the Ladies’ Aid Society of the M. E. church, last Saturday, was a financial success, the returns being between $90 and $100. • Mrs. F. G Robley and son Grant went to Bull Run Sunday to visit Mr. Robley who was de­ tained there on account of extra work for the P.R.L. & P. Co., caused by the excessive rains of the past few days. Hal Hillman came out from Portland Saturday noon and went out to Springvvater to visit his father. In the evening His wife and Mrs. Hillman arrived and all spent the week-end at the Hill­ man ranch. Page Five Recent reports from Mrs. A. E. Sparks state that her brother whom she went to visit in Iowa, on account of his serious condi­ tion, is worse again after a tem­ porary improvement. She in­ tended to start on her return journey last Tuesday, but it will be a week before she arrives home. r G.
