John Putz supervisor of Road District 45, with a small crew of men, is doing a few days’ work in this vicinity. Mr. and Mrs. S. B. Brown and son Roy, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Alder and children of Oregon , City were Sunday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George j Brown. Will and Harley Freeman have bought a truck of G. A. Gottberg of Colton. Mrs. Montie Vallen is still suf fering with her head, as the re sult of an accident, caused when the team ran away several weeks j ago. Mr. and Mrs. Schubert, their two daughters Frances Sarchet, Anna Keil and Mr. Keil and two little children, Dorothy an'd Leon ard, were calling on old neigh bors in this vicinity Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Schubert moved from here 18 years ago, and this is their first visit since then. Mrs. Schhbert is an invalid, hav- - ing been afflicted with rheuma- matism a number of years. They are now living near Court ney, between Portland and Ore- gon City. Pupils of the Hstacada schools had a rally last Friday night to work up enthusiasm fur the foot ball game which was to be played the following day.
