Mr. and Mrs. Alec Botkin, of
Garfield, spent the day in Port­
land Saturday.
Mrs. William Held, of George,
was taken to the Good Samari­
tan hospital at Portland Monday
evening, and operated on Tues­
day morning1 there for appendi­
citis, by Dr. McCall.
