Amos Willard of the Bremerton
navy yard, is home on an indefi­
nite furlough, visiting with his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. Millard.
The Ladies Missionary Society
wishes to announce that they
will present the play called “One
Day in India.” at the Presbyter­
ian Church, on Wednesday eve­
ning February 26tn, at 7.45 p. m.
Refreshments will be served and
everybody invited to attend.
The Christian Endeavor Society
held their monthly social meeting
on Friday evening. February 14.
at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Weld. Games appropriate for
Valentine’s day were played and
refreshments served. Everyone
reports having spent an enjoya­
ble evening.
Dr. J. L. Hewitt of Portland,
came out to his farm in Garfield
Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. Fitzgerald were
Sandy visitors Saturday.
Mrs. Gibson was visiting Mr.
Udell’s family Sunday.
Walter Kitzmiller and wife are
spending a few days in Dover.
Mrs. Ahnart of George was cal­
ling on Mrs. Schminsky, Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. Akins and baby
visited Mr. Schminsky’s Sunday.
H. Develin has been hauling
hay for James Akin the past
week.
Rev. Alford visited through
the neighborhood Monday and
Tuesday.
Mr. Fitzgerald purchased a
team of mules and buggy from
George Sawtelle.
R. E. Thompson and family
have moved on to their home­
stead and are preparing to make
a home.
Mrs. Chipman, Joseph DeSha-
zerand Mr. Frace are laid up
with the flu. Violet DeShazer
has recovered nicely from it.
Mayor Bartlett, H. C. Steph­
ens and C. R. Lovell motored
over to Salem Wednesday after­
noon.
High School movies Walsh
comedy “Brave Bold.” First
entertainment Friday evening at
7.30. If you like a lively comedy
full of thrilling athletic situa­
tions, you will enjoy this. Five
reels, admission, adults 25 cents,
school children 10 cents.

A special School meeting for
Dist. 108 will be held in the High
School building, Thursday, Feb.
27th, 1919, at 7:30 p. m. to con­
sider the report of the committee
appointed to check over the dis­
trict’s books as experted.
