Klinker from George was in town Saturday and called at this office for the commendable purpose o f renewing his sub scription. There are others whom we hope will follow his good example. W. M. Ware who bought the Epperson place in Garfield about a month ago, and has been mov ing on to it, was joined by his family last Saturday evening. They came here from Colorado. Real estate deal was put through by S. E. Wooster. Mrs. R. M. Standish with Peggy and John Hubbard, went to Portland Friday, the children returning the following day, but Mrs. Standish stopped till Sun day evening. Mr. Standish was unable to get away for the week end last week. The meeting Saturday after noon at 1:30 at Boring to see what can be done about securing a pav ing plant for this part o f the county, should be well attended. Eastern Clackamas is entitled to have some o f this work and the sooner a start is made the better. We publish in this and the next issue o f the News the Clack amas county budget for 1919. The county commissioners this year have published it in more papers throughout the county than heretofore, in order that the widest publicity may be given it. The Rev. T. B. Ford, D. D., of Oregon City and District Super intendent visited the . M. E. Church here last Friday to hold quarterly conference. Purely routine work was transacted and the Dr. left that night.
