editor of the Molalla Pioneer says
“ Forsome time I have had the
foolish notion of making a run as
one of the three state representa

sending under separate cover a

be a vote getter, but the photog

The candidacy of Mr. Taylor
should meet with the approval of
Eastern Clackamas voters, if for
no other reason than his not be
ing a county seat politician. Fur
thermore, Mr. Taylor being an
editor, with previous training in
the ministry, should assure his
honesty and uprightness an 1 his
familiarity with the needs of this
county, especially from the farm
e r’s standpoint should make him
a valuable representative.

As a starter for the local to
bacco and candy funds, now be
ing collected throughout this
community, for the benefit of our
own enlisted boys, the News this
week deposited $6.59, being a
donation received from a former
resident of this section, who
wished to do his bit for the home
boys.
Parents or others intending to
send boxes to the enlisted men
are asked to call at the News of
fice and get a contribution from
these funds. Also the business
men, in whose places the funds
are being collected, are asked to
keep this office informed of the
