After a brief explanation of the objects of the meeting pre sented by Chairman Jorg and Board Member, J. W. Reed, an expression from the taxpayers was requested on the subject of the erection of a new high school building, in the school grounds, adjoining the present building. As occassionally occurs at local gatherings, the response for a time resembled the roll-call at a deaf and dumb institution, the lull being finally broken by Mr®. C. W. Devore, who expressed her ideas of certain requirements which should be included in the proposed new high school build ing. Similar suggestions were made by Mrs. E. W. Bartlett, es pecially urging the including of a swimming tank. From then on, many taxpayers joined in the talks and as the re sult of a standing vote, it was the consensus of the meeting that a new building should be erected in the near future. Two Portland architects dis played and explained plans for high school buildings, a 1 of which were meritorious and on a second rising vote, the taxpayers went on record as favoring the erection of a fire-proof building, of hollow Is what every one wants Is what I Sell and Is what you get in value received If you buy it of F.
