A. C. Farmers’ and Home Makers’ Week, on the subject of rural fairs and community exhibits. C. and who spent a day in this vicinity early this week, is to be doubly congratulated. First, Albert was married the 26th, to Miss Grace Jordon of Al bany, Oregon, and secondly, with his bride is moving to Kalispell, Montana, where he has accepted the instructurship in manual training in the public schools. Meeting To Consider Cheese Factory Friday The next meeting of the Farm ers’ & Merchants’ Club, which will take place at the Adams Ho tel Friday evening, should bring together an even larger delega tion of farmers and business men than the former meeting. As the main subject of discus sion, following the dinner, will be the report of the committee of ten, which has been working among the farmers in the promotion of the cheese factory at Estacada, many farmers from distant points have promised to attend, includ ing a delegation from George, Ea gle Creek and the other side of the river. Already reservations have been made for a big crowd, and it is possible the dinner will have to be served in the I. O. O. F. Hall. Several Portland men will at tend, including a representative of the State D airy* Food Com mission and others posted on cheese manufacture. As it will be the last appear ; ance of Representative Elect Stephens before ne leaves for the Legislature, it is planned to bid him an official farewell. As Mr. Stephens is especially, qualified, having acted as presi dent of the East Clackamas County and George Community Fairs, to speak comprehensively on this subject, his friends were not surprised at this honor being tendered him. Following a few days at Cor vallis, Mr. Stephens will return to Portland where he will attend to business matters preparatory to his leaving for Salem, where the State Legislature will con vene, January 8th. Inspected High School Building Chairman Fred Jorg and J. W. Reed o f the Estacada School Board spent last Tuesday in an in spection trip in nearby towns, getting pointers on high school buildings. As on January 8th, amass meet ing of this school district is called to consider plans and specifica tions for a new high school build ing in Estacada, the board will be I in a position to present many good ideas.
