Wood of Barton met with a bad accident Monday, when he fell under the wheels of a wood- rack which he was driving, his head being run over by one of the wheels. Mr. Wood, who lives near the approach to the Barton bridge, in some way was jounced from the wagon seat and in jumping caught his foot in the reins, throwing him under the wheels. Dr. Adix of Estacada, who at­ tended the patient, found that no bones were broken, but the jaw bone was badly wrenched and the muscles of the face and head severely gashed.
