Communion Services Sunday St *phens Making Very Favorable Impression TOMORROW With i he various county candi dates now working over hoflrs in soliciting votes througout t h e county, H. C. Stephens o f George, our home candidate for the legis lature, is makinga very favorable impression in distant sections of the county. Possibly in contrast to some o f the more experienced politicians with their flow o f oratory, Mr. Stephens’ q u i e t , straight-for ward. businesslike manner and modesty appeals to the strangers, as it always has to those o f us who have worked with him and known him intimately. Reports from Canby, Oregon (Sty, Molalla and other seetions all indicate that Mr. Stephens’ candidacy is meeting with many supporters a n d with Eastern Clackamas sticking by its nomi nee. regardless o f political faith, he should be elected to represent us in the next legislature. Among the candidates visiting Estacada this week, were Dr. Dedman o f Canby, candidate on the Republican ticket for the leg islature; Dudley Boyles o f Molal- la, now deputy Recorder and can didate on the Republiban ticket for Recorder; County Treasurer M. E. Dunn, up for reelection on the Republican ticket and A. H. Graham, Cashier o f the Canhy State Bank, who made the trip to Estacada with the candidates. Mrs. Walter Whitcomb, her Sister Miss Hyde, o f Portland and Miss Doris Jensen o f Spring- water, spent Sunday at A. O. Whitcomb’ s ranch in Garfield.
