Dowty last week. E. H. S. Echoes Continued from page 3 The Track men are training faithfully and the prospect for a lively meet next Sat. April 29 is good against the James- Johns High School. All the old track men are showing their mettle and some of the later arrivals are sur prising everyone, including them selves. The new tennis court was used for the first time Monday even ing, April 24th. The school is showing its intention of keeping the court hot the rest of the sea son. "A C ase of S uspension ” Erma Graham, Jessie Hannah and Rosallie Allen, co-eds, decid ed to give Jones, Wagner and Johnson a “feed,” in spite of the warnings of Della Lovell, the maid, and Leo Havens, the jani tor. Faculty “got wise” through the sleuthing of Prof. Paul Fraz ier and Prin. Nettie Woodle. It looked bad for the funmak- ers but the Faculty remembered their youthful days and helped eat the good things. This was all part of the ultra fine program given by the Adelphics, Friday, April 21st. Orion Coop returned to school Wednesday, April 26th. A 1- though he has not completely recovered from his injury, he is the same old Orion. The Websterian-Adelphic base ball game delayed till Tuesday, April 25th because of rain, was won by the Adelphics. Monday evening, April 24th a lecture on Industrial Club Work was given in the school building Brownell To Preach With next Sunday evening, will begin a series of addresses and sermons by men of different churches and beliefs, also ad dresses b> men outside of the church. The aim is to get men from all walks of life, to throw light and informal ion upon the various problems that confront us. It is planned to have one or two such speakers per month. The first address will be given next Sunday night at the Esta- cada M. E. Church by the Hon. Geo. C. Brownell of Oregon City, on the subject “Christ in Modern Commercialism.” Service be gins promptly at 7:30 o’clock.
