If an epidemic of repainting could hit Estacada and surround ing country this year, it would do much to brighten up business and living conditions and as an advertisement for a live town, new paint is an asset. His daughter is telling the story of seeing Doc running at a 10 flat rate through his fields and over fences, in pursuit of a jack rab bit, which had wandered onto his property from over the range, and if it had’nt been for the Delf Creek canyon. Doc would have enjoyed “ hasenpheffer” t h a t evening. ♦ ♦ Repaire r + . ♦ ♦ and the Lweler of Eastern Clackamas County ♦ ♦ ♦ I F u rn ish th e V o tes in th e V o tin g C ontest ♦ ♦ Y ou F u rn ish T h e P a tro n a g e * ♦ Expert Watch M o v e In to New Q u a rte rs Living Ip To Its Namesake I. Aside from the lack of the large hall space, the new quar ters are more adapted to the pur- jioses of the organization, otter ing good accomodations for the library an I rest room. While J. W. Reed, the owner of the vacated building has an nounced no plans as yet, it is understood he is contemplating remodeling it, or possibly replac ing it with a concrete structure. but we are in a position to save you money on ♦ I. The combination of good w eat ti er, more money in circulation and good films is responsible for the decided increase in attenuame at the Estacada moving pictuie shows now. On Wednesday and Saturday evenings, Estacada’s Broadway resembles its namesake, with automobiles and crowds galore. Last Wednesday night’s per formance of the laugh creating comedy “ Excuse Me" brought out a record attendance and next Wednesday’s five reel Pathe fea ture film, “ Via Wireless’’ will duplicate the crowds. The following synopsis of the play, gives a slight idea of the story of the film and with Gail Kane as the heroine and Bruce McRae as the hero, it promises an evening of high class enter tainment. “ Marsh, a draughtsman in the gun factory of John Durant, is swindled by Edward Pinkney, Durant’s general manager, out of the huge royalty to be paid should a gun of Marsh’s invei - tion prove a success. Pinkney loves Maisie, but is outrivaled by Lieut. Somers, U. S. N. Somers also has invented a gun which he gives to he cast to the Durant Iron Works, and which, if successful will do Pinkney out of his expected graft on the Marsh invention. Pinkney takes g.Mid care that the Somers gun is “ killed’’ in making. He then misrepresents Somers to Maisie and her father, and though Mai sie loves the Lieutenant, she feels she must give him up. Ac companied by her mother and Pinkney, she goes in the Durant yacht fpra cruise. The boat hits a mine, and in the rush to )ea\e her, Maisie is trapped in the wiie- less toom. She sends out the S. O. S. signal taught her by Lieut. Somers. The Lieutenant, aboard a U. S. cruiser, arrives at the side of the doomed ship just in time to make a sensational res cue.” Adv. B. C.
