With a few exceptions everyone was here and every teacher in their class room ready to begin the new year with hard work. We are glad to see all the teach­ ers back in spite of vacation hap­ penings. So far, no students have been reported as changing their names during the holidays. The usual enrollment has been increased by three new pupils, Warren McWillis, a Sophomore; Irvie and May Lovell of N. Da­ kota, as Freshmen. The six debaters, who are to represent E. H. S. this year spent Thursday and Friday studying at the Portland Library. The De­ bate will occur January 14. The subject is proving very interest­ ing this year, and everyone, who is interested in the upbuilding of our country should come and hear it.
