The doctor’s duties will con­ sist of making reports of all births and deaths in his district, which was formerly handled by the county health officer. New Bank To Open Nov. 15 The new bank at Oregon City, headed by Leroy D. Walker of Portland will open its doors for business about Nov. 15th. It is likely that an Oregon City man will act as cashier, with Mr. Wal­ ker giving his entire time to the active management. Mr. Walker is president of the Estacada State Bank and inter­ ested in the banks at Canby and MolaUa. The institution ill make a specialty of a savings de­ partment, paying 4 % interest on savings deposits. The best wishes for success are extended by Mr. Walker’s many friends here. J. Willits Ferguson, district fire warden for Clackamas, Mult­ nomah and Marion counties, who with his wife has been making Estacada his headquarters for the past six months, left last week for Portland, where they will re­ side during the winter, Mr. Fer­ guson having office in the Yeon Bldg. Mr. Cary recently consumated plans which will necessitate his living in Portland in order to at­ tend to his business there, so their newly completed home in Estacada is now for sale. Though the Carys may live in Portland, local people will always feel that they belong in Estacada, where they have been identified with the growth and development for many years, but wish them success in their new location.
