Crosse d the Range The last o f the automobile tourists who maije the Clacka mas Lake trip week before last, returned to their homes in Esta cada last Thursday evening, hav ing made the return trip largely on ‘ ‘shank’s mares” and a couple o f W. A. Jones’. The original party, comprising four auto loads, left Estacada a week ago last Friday, intending to visit Clackamas Lake, .via Government Camp and Clear Lake, to remain over Sunday. One of the autos broke down before reaching Government Camp, and the remaining ma chines by doubling up, landed the entire party at Clackamas Lake, Saturday night. Sunday was spent at the Tim othy Meadows camp and early Monday morning, the J. W. Reed, Frank Ewing and R. H. Currin cars with their passengers started for Estacada via Wapin- itia, Hood River and Portland, arriving Tuesday afternoon, hav ing enjoyed a scenic trip. The other five members o f the party, including Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Ferguson, Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Standish and P. F. Stan- dish, returned down the western side of the range, via Oak Grove, Three Links and the Clackamas River trail, walking most o f the way, until horses were obtained.
