Order Not Effective Here
The order issued several days
ago by Postmaster General Burle
son, prohibiting the use o f bi
cycle and motorcycles in rural
delivery service, will not effect
any of the carriers o f this dis
trict. In announcing his order,
Mr. Burleson holds that vehicles
o f these types do not have the
carrying capacity necessary for
the parcel post service and do
not afford enough protection for
the mails in had weather. The
order will not go into effect until
January' 1, 1916. and will effect
ahout 8000 carriers, who now u;e
bicycles and motorcycles.

Especially resistant to shock, strain and
vibration, toe Ford is the sturdiest, most
durable car in the world. Vanadium steel,
heat-treated by the Ford process, accounts
for the strength and light weight of the
Ford car. Strong, light, simple and effi
cient, the Ford gives service and satisfaction
to more than 700,000 owners every day, at
an average cost of two cents a mile for oper
ation and maintenance.
Buyers will share in profits if we sell at retail
300,000 new Ford cars between August 1914
and August 1915.
