Parent Teacher’s Association Formed A goodly number of interested parents, gathered at the Estacada school on last Thursday after noon, May 13th to listen to a talk on parent-teacher associations given by George Rebec of the University of Oregon. . Dr. Rebec gave an interesting survey of the changes which have taken place in education and in the conditions of life which young people must be trained to face, showing that parents and teachers need to work together for the best inter ests of the child. At the close of the talk it was decided to organize a parent- teacher association in Estacada and the following officers were elected: Mrs. J. W. Reed, presi dent; Mrs. C. W. Devore, vice president; Mrs. Kuhrascn, treas urer; Miss Eva Wash, secretary. Membership is open to all who are interested in the children and it is hoped that every parent will realize the possibilities of such an association. Meetings are to be hell once a month at the school, the next date being June 3rd.
