tine, volcanoes on the w est side of
Cook Inlet, are also show ing unusual
signs of activity, smoke in increasing
volumes pouring out of th e ir craters.

been coming from Southw estern A las­
ka indicating renewed a ctiv ity among
the volcanoes all along the A laska pen­
insula. Two w eeks ago sm oke was
reported coming from Mount K atm ai
and general activ ity o f all the vol­
canoes in the vicinity was predicted.
