Another social affair which will
attract the many friends of the Gar­
field Country club, will take place,
Saturday, September 14, when the
club will hold a basket social and
dance for the benefit of the building
funds. As an incident a huge cake
will be awarded to the most popular
lady after a vote of those In atten­
dance has been taken.
Iti the evening there will be a
dance, music to be furnished by the
club orchestra. Those who attend­
ed the annual meeting and dance ot
the club last month, know they
may expect excellent music.

President G. T. Hunt announces
that the club, the latter part of the
present month, will begin the im­
provements planned at the annual
meeting. The addition of 30 by 74
will be constructed and a pole shed
with shake roof, for teams, 16 by
too feet to the rear of the club
house.
The addition will be built at
right angles to the present club
house, which is 24 by 40. This
will give a dancing floor space of
24 by 70 feet, when the wall is re­
moved To the left the remaining
space 36 by 50 feet will be partition
ed off with a stage 14 by 14 feet
and dressing rooms on each side 8
by 14 feet leaving an auditorium
30 by 36 feet. A porch is to be
erected along this section of the ad­
dition, 8 by 50 feet. The audito­
rium may be used by church or
schools, or for club entertainments.

work and the funds for lumber and

derived from entertainments. On
that account it is hoped there will
be a good turnout at the coming
picnic and dance. The club Itir-
