Interesting Games Of Basket Ball Are Played In The Pavilion; Gresham Is Again Victor Death Of Francis L On Saturday evening two basket ball games were played at the Pa vilion These were the first games played by the local High School team with a visiting team and much enthusiasm was manifested by the patrons of the school. A very good attendance was accorded the play ers. The Gresham High School boys and girls teams were the visit ors and they played good ball. They came in a special car and a number of Greshamites who were present cheered the good playing they did. The first game was by the girls’ teams. Our girls were praised for their one score and the fact they were able to hold the score of Gresham down, as in both the girls and boys teams we were outclassed by the visitors. The line-up of Gresham was: Maude Mitchell, forward; Lottie Davis, forward; Marguerite Mitchell, center; Marguerite Schantive, guard; Evelyn Metzger, guard.
