Estacada ; Editor Estacada Progress, | Dear Sir:— It seems to me your I reporters are not attending strictly j to business and don’t get all the : news. Now I looked and looked 1 in vain in yonr last issue for some- j thing about the surprise party given on Mrs. Nellie Curriu just before j her departure for the East. Well, there was something like fifty people there- mostly married people at that. All seemed to have a good time and you should have seen the ice cream and cake that was put away. Everybody had all they could eat even A 1 Darling; I jam sure he didu't eat over nineteen dishes. Norman Linn and Joe- Marks tried to give him a race but had to drop out after the fourth or fifth round. A 1 made a full score and was an easy winner, coming in on the home stretch not the least bit winded or ‘ ‘ het” up. Well, ’,ve all bad a good time and hope to have another when Mrs, Currin returns from her visit in the East. —One who was at the party F o r D r y ' G o o d s , M ill- The good accomplished by the display of-slrawbeilies at the first effort i f the Commercial Club to advertise the kind we can produce, the future alone can reveal.
