A ter n b le cloudburst in the m ountains caus ed rivers and stream s to overflow and m iles of fe rtile valleys are under w ater. F u rth er d etails have been received here of the Hood th a t sw ept the town of Tula, in the sta te of Tam alpais, last Saturday. A wave between 45 and 50 feet high engulfed the lower half of the town. Two hundred houses and the San Juan bridge were carried away and many lives were lost. The storm raged for three days.
