Nick Rath was in town, Monday
from the George neighborhood, and
The News acknowledges a pleasant
call. Mr. Rath is enthuiastic over
the jjrospect of getting a good, new
| bridge built across Eagle creek so
that the farmers over his way can
get to Estacada without too much
of a drive. The Falls bridge has
broken and has been declared un
safe. The plan is to build a new
bridge farther up the creek and to
make a good rotftiway on each tide
of the creek. George is a produc
tive country, and has much produce
to market each year.
This trade
should come to Estacada, but to get
it a bridge and approaches must be
I built. No doubt the county will
put in the bridge and approaches if
the people will do the rest.
