The score closed 3 to 8, in the visitors' favor. It seemed an off day for the home team. If the boys had played their usual game, Gresham would have had to play better or lose the game. A good crowd was out, and the new grand stand was fairly filled. But there was a cold wind, which caused many to leave before the end. Rev. C. T. McPherson expects to have the new M. E. church com pleted, furnished and ready to be dedicated by the last days of May. Only a portion of the inside finish ing work remains to be done. The basement will be left unfinished for a couple years. Some think that on account of dampness it will never be fit to be used for Sunday school purposes, but in all probability that | when by the time the school out grows the main rooms, the church 'organization may be wealthy enough to finish the basement for school i purposes, but in the meantime it will be used as a store house. When dedicated the church-going people of Estacada will have a fine, com fortable church home, the material splendor of which may be commen f t surate to their spiritual holiness.
