The death of Mr, Carrol Howell
took place Sunday morning July 2,
at his old home across the river at
Estacada. Mr. Howell was passing
from the house to the barn when a
sudden attack of heart desease took
him and he fell over and expired.
The desease had troubled him for
some time. He came across the big
plains in 1861, and was 68 years of
age, and was a respected and well-
liked citizen. Mr. Howell was bom
in Washington county, Arkansas,
and leaves a wife, three daughters
and seven sons.
The funeral took
place at the Springwater church and
the remains intered in the cemetery
close by, Rev. Stubbs preaching.
