The land fraud cases that are being

world's attention. Fr>m every side one
can hear the people express the wish that
the guilty ones will be convictid. The
pre t mass of the people do not know,
but lielieve that the ones on trial are but
a few of the really guilty ones. There is
not the least doul t but that there are a
few others connected with the case, and
if I'ncle Sam got after every citizen who,
in a greater or lesser degree, has defraud-

towns and the country came in and
enjoyed themselves.
Everybody
who attended had a fine time, and

Pietsch and Maes at the Portland
restaurant. Th e prize for the best
