LOSES BET AND HIS CAR

and the test vOc made.
When he dropped the cigarette
there was n0 hesitation or delay
he lost his bet and his ear too. AH
ihoso suffering from suoh arbitrary
actions saved the balance of the
school year for progress. Let iu hope
things will go ahead ns they should
under the direction of one who hat'
proved capable as principal in other
places and that the Tygh Valley
school student body and teachers
will again work to the good of the
educational system of the hustling
n'ummnity.
When a man, through his own no
fclect and abuse, lows his chi' 'id
to the authorities he alone is to
blame. Children need parental
guidance and cure. To deny tl Jt i
nothing more nor le s than crimen..
And when that man, through peti

of the court in an attempt to vegan:

It takes more than a teaching
force to make a good school. Both
the teachers and itudent body nAist
work in harmony in order that the
school be made a success. A prin
cipal who takes upon himself the
responsibility of making the school
assumes a task too large to carry
alone. The result is the school suf
fers, the principal loses prestige and
the community is placed in an un
enviable position. The recent school
eruption at Tygh Valley in which
the students rebelled against the
arbitrary an J uncalled for rules
laid down by the principal, and the
final release cf the principal as head
of the school is to be regretted.

visitors. At the end of the last
half the score was tied, an additional
interval being allowed. In that the
Chancers took a lead and when the
