Many games have been played by
this school during the last week,
The girls played a real game at the
tournament, although Maupin's best
forward was out of the game. At
the half Dufur led by seven bas
kets. A different line-up of players
suggested by Jesse Crabtree result
ed in the strengenthing of Maupin's
defense and made the last half
keenly interesting to the Maupin
iter. One player was out of the
game on personals during the third
quarter. Maiy Greene ranked high
est in the number of points with
eleven points to her credit for tha
purple and gold.
The girls are very proud of their
new suits, which the school board
recently purchased, and can easily
say that they took first place, in ap
m-arance when on the floor. The
boys are trying to make m think
that they will wear our pretty yellow
s6cks for baHball this spring, so yon

Tho Wapinitia boys journeyed to

which team we had previously met
at Dufur and got a 24 to 4 score,
in Dufirr's favor. Nothing daunted,
the boyj sailed into the game and
held the Dufur, aggregation to 12
poirjts, Wapintia secured 8. The
feature of the game was that neith

last half, only 2 points being made
by each side from foul goals.
