Walter Sharp is working for George Claymicr. George Claymier has recently been at The Dalles to have a number of decayed teeth removed. Juiuc Shepflin and wife have left the McFarlane Mill Co. and moved to their new cottage in Maupin. Julius Shepflin has been busy butchering and rendereing out lard for next season. Ed. Mathews and family have re turned from a trip to Fossil on a visit to their son. Orville, and fam ily. A car driven by Mc Farlane mill folks drove over to Portland from this iide last Tuesday. This is us ually not possible after November 10. Joe A. Graham made a trip to Cedar Post Camp recently, report ing very little snow in the moun tains. 0. John and George Davis and Ed. and George Beebe are cutting wooc on the 0. S. Walter: hill tract. J. P. Abbott has purchased a lot of oak wood from N. G. Hedin. Brown on Service Station corner is hauling wood thi3 week. W. A. Doan and N. G. Hedin are sun-eying for a new canal down the Walker hog back to bring water to Poane't and Stovall farms, Frank Fleming hai bought water for the Shearer place. Dolf May hew hai negotiated for water on the Bob Mulr place. Floyd Eubanks took a load of fat hogs to Kenton stock yards this week. Walter Sharp, Ben Richardson Frank Richardson and N. G. Hedin helped Wm. Moore saw wood and build a wood shed recently. Wm. Sturgis is busy hauling hay from the Woodside place to the Sanford-Baxter place. Ed. and Harvey Wulterc have been cutting wood up on the reserve. Add to pine grove notes. J. P. Abbott L' hauling wood from the oak supply of Walter Sharp. "Rlink" Tapp, old-time resident of Wapinitia, who has been farming his ranch on the south line, has just decided he will keep his present housekeeper, so he married her thi- week. N. G. Hedin reports 10 inches of snow at the Frog creek canal in take, he having gone there on Tuesday to attended to ditch work. The snow at Clear lake canal was six inches deep. lit rb Lewis removed a large snag that was blocking the highway near Pole hill, on Tue day. He is again dragging the road. Rev. W. A. Matthews, missionary to the Warm Springs Indians, is ill at the mission at Simnasho. The doctor from Warm Springs agency called a time or two, but the red mud makes it almo t impossible to get in from the south. Rev. Ever ett Hazen made it in from Wapin itia Tuesday. He thinks there is a slight improvement in Rev. Matt hews' condition. The sick man is giving much of his life to the amelioration of the condition of the red men.
