Of O. A. C. CLARNO OIL BASIN OIL CO. EFFECTS REORGANIZATION A delicious substitute for whip ped cream may be made by adding a sliced banana to the white of one egg and beating until stiff. The ba nana will be entirely absorbed. When fryng fish, if the pieces are put in the hot fat with the skin side uppermost and allowed to brown be fore turning, the fish will not break when cooking. A small piece of bread or a bit of raw potato added to fat while it is heating will absorb any impurities or odors. Olive oil will not become rancid if two lumps of sugar are put in each quart as soon as opened. Sheets if alternated, paying no at tention to the top or the bottom will wear much longer, as the strain will be evenly diatributed. White marks may be removed from a polished wood surface if they are rubbed with a piece of chamois or flannel that has been dampened with essence of peppermint or cedar oil. If the white of an egg is applied with a small brush to fly specks on gilt frames, then rubbed gently with a soft cloth, the specks will disappear. Soot on woodwork can be removed with kerosene. Veal has a tendency to become dry throughout with a hardened surface if roasted in an open pan. It is de sirable to add fat in cooking veal, because it is an immature meat and not rich in extractives and fat. Veal requires slower cooking than beef. Cuts of meat from active parts of animals such as legs or neck have a large amount of connective tissue. These are better cooked by applica tion of moist heat boiling, pot roasting, stewing, or braising be cause dry heat shrivels and toughens the connective tissue. Vale Federal authorities expect Vale project to have 'water by 1930. Prineville and Bend will ship 5,- 000 range horses from Burns, this month. .
