All that part of the Willamette River known as the Tail Race of the Crown Willamette Paper Company, situated in Clackamas County, Oregon, beginning at a point at the mouth of said Tail Race on the south bank thereof, thence extending directly across said Tail Race to the north bank thereof; thence in a westerly, southerly and easterly direction around the bank of said Tail Race to the place of - beginning. Polk County-The South Ftfrk of the Siletz River from the dam owned by the Cobb & Mitchell Lumber Company, Including the mill pond above said Dam,' and Handy creek, Sand creek and Beaver creek, closed from July 15th to April 15 of each year, both dates inclusive. Union County Ladd creek closed from November 30 to July 15 of each year, both (lutes inclusive. Wallowa County Wallowa lake and tributary streams closed to taking of "Yanks," Land locked Salmon or Red fish with yankhook and jerkhook. These fish to be taken with hook and line, commonly called angling, only. Aneroid lake closed from September 15 to April 15 of ench year, both dates inclusive. Christian Endeavor meets at 6:30, Sunday evening. Rilla Powell is staying with Mrs. Lester West and going to school. Mrs Julius Shepflin went to The Dalles Friday to receive medical treatment Evadne Hulbard was a visitor at the J. M. Powell home Friday evening. Mr. and "Mrs. Roy Crabtreel were visitors in Maupin Saturday morning, taking Avis down for a piano lesson. Rodney McKee and Mrs. Mar tha Chalmers came up from Port land to attend the funeral ser vices for Mr. L M. Woodside. They are brother and Bister of Mrs. Woodside. The pupils and teachers of the Pine Grove, Batty and Victor schools met at the Bchoolhouse here to hold their preliminary trackmeet Saturday. The best in each event was chosen from the entire group to participate in the annual county meet at Tygh Valley. N. G. Hedin and Nova, Miss Overman and A. D. Hulbard were callers in Maupin Saturday afternoon. The high school students went on a botany hike Thursday after noon in Wapinitia and Rice canyons. J. M. Powell returned from The Dalles, where he has been with Mrs. Powell who is ill, the first of the week. Laurance who has been in California for some time, returned with him. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Driver and Leonard and Mr. and Mrs Fred Woodside of The Dalles came out Friday for the funeral of Mr. Woodside. Rev. Mershon and family were guests at a radio concert at the Powell home Friday night. Mr. and Mrs. P. J. Olson and children were here from Shaniko for the services for Mrs. Olson's father, L. M.
