P.)- Right of irrigation interests on the up per Hood river are prior and superior to those of the Pacific Power and Light company, ac cording to the opinion handed down by the supreme court here today. The opinion affirms the circuit court decree which upheld the claims of the irrigationists. Tht majority opinion was by Justice Bean with McBride, Rand and Cociiow comparing. The dissent ing opinion was by McCourt with Burnett and Brown concurring. The position of the majority is based on the contention of the state water code of 1S09 which abrogated the rights of the rip arian ownership. Mr. Driver returned Sunday and Mr Patison went to the Willemette valley Monday where he exnects to hnd work in a hop field. Jim Kennedy went to Portland Tuesday. J. R. Johnson, Mrs. Johnson and son spent several days at theJ. F. Kennedy home from California. They ha'e purchas ed the entire plant and home and stock of Mr. Kennedy and will move there as soon as they return from California where they went Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Kennedy took them to The Dalles., Mr. and Mrs. Percy Driver and little Brenton and Percy's mother went to The Dalles Sun day, the latter having ppent two weeks at her home here. Mr. Driver and family left the next ay for the coast, joined bv Dave Campbell, Lee Kennedy, and their wives, Jim Zumwalt Miller. Willis and Tom Driver and their families, and Mr. and Mrs. I. D. Driver. The Drivers after going the coast will go on to Oakland. Prof. J R. Ward and family returned to Dryard, Wn., Thurs Jimmy Ward remained with Mr. and Mrs. Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Stephe Wine were up from Tygh Valley Sun day, visiting Mrs. M. Dean. J. R. Wilson and Guy Brittain were up from Tygh Tuesday.
