Lewis of Warm Spring Agency came over Saturday night and spent Sun day with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Stanton of Warm Springs are being con gratulated upon the birth of a son born last Saturday. Mrs. ueorge Uurnside is in Dufur where she went to take her little daughter Dorcas who is very sick. " I Mr. and Mrs. Matthews came' over from bimnasho Saturday taking a sick Indian girl to Mau-j pin to see Dr. Elwood. ! A little son was born to Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Flinn last Mon day at Simnasho. I John Evick of Madras was in Tygh "Valley to attend the fair, he stopped with his brother Perl on his way home. vMrs. Nathan Hill and children were visiting in Wap. Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Rev. J. I. Parker has been re appointed pastor of the Wapini tia church for the coming year, This will make his fifth year on this charge. Frank McCoy and family re turned from the mountains Thursday. John Ward went to Dufur Saturday and will visit with re latives for some time. Mr. Retherford of Portland arrived Monday for a visit with his son H. V. and his daughter Mrs. N. G. Hedin. Four of our young folks left Monday for O. A. C. The good wishes of the community goes with them for a successful year. Those who went were, Josephine O'Brien, Ishom West, Ralph and Lloyd Woodside. Mrs. J. M. O'Brien accompani ed her daughter Josephine to Corvallis Monday and will re main a few days. Jamie Abbott sent his Dodge car to The Dalles Monday by Lloyd Woodside. J. P. Abbott was sick this week F. Ella Shipflin was sick and nvssed school one day last week. The farmers are rejoiced be cause of a much needed rain. Most of the seeding is done in this part of the country.
