Dr. and Mrs. JJake came up from Portland Wednesday. Winston Lake went to The Dalles Friday. Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Woodcock and Carmel went to The Dalles Monday. Carmel will attend St. Mary's academy. Mrs. Wood cock remained in town a few days with her mother. JacK bwitt and tamily were in The Dalles Sunday and Mon day from Astoria, guests of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Swift and Mrs. Swift's sister. Mis3 Thelma Bonney visited in The Dalles Saturday from Tygh Valley. Mr. and Mrs. Otis Chastain were in The Dalles Monday from Juniper Flat. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Driver re ceived message telling of the arrival of a grandson, born to Mr. and Mrs. Marion Driver at Watervill, Wn., on the 18th of last month. Hot weather here last week.
