Dane is busy this week at the high school building. Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Flinn and Mrs. Alice Chappie came over from Simnasho Sunday. Rev. and Mrs. Jno. Sharpe and daughter Ruth are visiting the formers son David Sharpe and family at the West home this week. Mrs'. Sturgis and children and Mrs. Bruce Driver visited with Mrs. Sinclair on Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Jno. Lewis are camped at Clear Lake. Mrs. Mark Arnett and children made a trip to Smock last Friday then again on Monday to visit Mrs. Max Mayfield who is ill. N. W. Flinn and wife 'who were sojourning in the mountains last week returned to The Dalles Friday stopping enroute for a brief visit with Mrs. Chester Brittain of Wamic. Ross Laughlin and son Jack who were guests of Mrs. Katie Graham have returned to their home in Portland. Mrs. Herb Hammer cooked for the threshers while they were working for Walter Woodside. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Ward and children were dinner guests of Mrs. Perle Evick Sunday Rev. and Mrs. W. A. Matthews were over from Simnasho Mon Rev. Sharpe preached at the Wapinitia church Sunday. Mrs. E. A. Hartman and daughter Crystal are leaving for a visit with Portland relatives this week. Mrs. Jacob Teschner and child ren spent Tuesday with Mrs. Herb Hammer. The Thunder storm which came up here Tuesday afternoon resulted in a hail storm coming down. The hail averaged in size from the size of a walnut to a hens egg- Everything was soak ed.
