The first lecture was given on Thurs day night one week ago, the subject being, "Time prophecy and the Judgment-" The speak er showed from the prophecy of Daniel 9:25-27, that it was defin itely stated ' when the Messiah would come and just when he would begin his ministry. He t said that the first chapter of i Mark, fifteenth verse shows that Jesus understood this prophecy, and when he started out to preach he said, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye and believe the gospel." This was in A D. 27. See the date in the margin of your Bible. The rest of this prophecy of Daniel 8 and 9 reaches to A. D. 1844, when the judgment began in Heaven. ! The Lord will come when the i judgment is over. ! Friday night the text was i Daniel 2:44, "And in the days of j these kings shall the God of ; heaven set up a kingdom, which ! shall never be destroyed: and ' the kingdom shall not be left to J other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever." It was shown that the dream of Nebuchadnezzar in the second chapter of Daniel repre sent four universal kingdoms that would rule the world from Daniel's day to the coming of the Lord and the setting up of his kingdom, represented by the stone that was cut out of the mountain and smote the image and broke it to pieces, verse 34. lie went on to pay that the prophecies make it plain that the time is almost up for the Genesis 1:31, 2:1-3 and John 19:30 that Jesus finished his work of creation on the sixth day of the week and that he also finished his work of redemption on Fri day the sixth day of the week, and that he rested from his work of creation and redemption on the seventh, day of the week. That is why the Sabbath is given to us for a memorial of Christ and the creation, and will be kept in the new earth, Isa. 66: 22-23. - ' ' Tuesday night the subject was the condition of the dead from death until the resurrection at the last day. The speaker showed from the Bible that the dead are asleep and that they do not know any thing and their thoughts perish at death. Such Scriptures were given for proof as 1st Ihes. 4:13, 1st Cor. 15:12-23, 51 55. Ecci. 9:5-6. Ps. 146:3-4, Job 14: 12-25, John 5:28-29, Eze. 18:4, Acts 2:27, 31. Isaiah 53:1-12 Rev 16:3. Wednesday night was devoted to the study of what was nailed to the cross Col. 2:14. It was found that the ceremonial law given to Moses consisting of types and shadows in sacrifices and offerings, or the system of Jewish worship, pointing to the death of Christ on the cross was fulfilled, or came to an end at his death, but this did not abol ish any part of God's law, the ten commandments, but estab lished it. Tonight, May 3, the subject of the Papacy is studied from the book of Daniel and Revelation, showing that the beast and the little horn power spoken of as a persecuting power is the papacy and will yet gain control of the world before the end and God's people will suffer persecution again, Elder Province is going home Friday and return Monday May 7 and continue the meetings next week. everlasting kingdom of God in the earth. Saturday night we listened to a sermon on our future home or what the kingdom will be when it is set up. We were shown from the Bible that the kingdom would be set up on this earth when it is purefied by fire and made new. Proof for this is found in the promise to Abra ham, Genesis 13:14-17 and Heb. 11:8-10. 39, 40. It was also made plain from Gal. 3:16 and 29, that if. we are Christ's true followers we are Abraham's seed and heirs of the promise. Sunday at eleven o'clock the subject was "The Millennium." The speaker showed from Reve lation 19:11-21 and chapter 20:1-10 John 14:1-3, 1 Thes. 4:16-17, Rev 21:2 that the millennium will be gin at the coming of the Lord and the first resurrection and the translation of all the righteous to heaven where they reign with Christ a thousand years, and the wicked are all dead and live not until the thousand years are ful filled. Satan is bound on this earth at the same time and at the end of the thousand years the Holy City and all the righteous come to this earth, the wicked dead are raised and Satan and all the wicked are consumed with fire from heaven, and the saints possess the king dom forever. Monday night we found that Christ was not only our re deemer but also the creator and that he existed before the world was made John 17:5, and 24, Genesis 1:1, 26 and John 1: 1-4 shows that Christ was with the Father in the creation of this world and that Christ was the real creator of all things, Col. 1: 12-20.
